As consoles and PCs become more popular over the years, they are gaining value. But the big question is, which is better? Console, or PCs.
Console
One pro of consoles is their plug-and-play style. The setup is fairly simple, and you can have your console up and running in a few minutes. Compared to a PC, which can take a long time to download apps and get Windows set up, if you build a new PC.
Another pro about consoles is their affordability. Most new consoles cost between 500-1000 on average, which is not bad for the price you’re paying.
But that’s where the fun mostly lasts, consoles also have some cons, one of them is limited hardware customization. The graphics card or CPU cant be replaced, so most likely cant upgrade your new Series X or PS5.
Another con is its high game cost and subscriptions. Most games that are bought on disk or online can be more expensive on console than on PC. Subscriptions also play a role in a console’s high cost. if you want to play with friends, you need a subscription like PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass for online gaming.
PC
PC’s also have their pros and cons, one pro brings its multiple hardware possibilities. You can upgrade most of your PC parts by building one. it gives you more freedom to add mods to your PC and make it look very clean.
Another pro is its multiple games and features; you can play steam indie games freely without any limitations. On console, you can only get a limited number of games and options.
A few cons of PC are its initial high cost, some PCs can rack up thousand of dollars to assemble and play, and that doesn’t add up with the game costs and subscriptions.
One last con is its security; PC’s can have risks of malware and viruses due to more access to search websites.
